Village Power, in conjunction with TASS Ltd, has been commissioned to install a solar powered mini-grid at the Kasubi Royal Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Kampala, Uganda. In September 2014, Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, the Prime Minister of Buganda Kingdom, visited the site to inspect the progress of the project.
The mini-grid is expected to be operational by May 2015.
