Uganda’s President, H.E. Yoweri Museveni, launched the ‘Light Lwengo Project’ and sent a truckload of Village Power Solar Home Systems to the Lwengo district for installation.
The Launch took place in the presence of, and with the support of our partners: Lwengo District Local Government represented by Chairman Mutabaazi; REA, represented by the Manager for Investment & Planning Eng. Werikhe; Finance Trust Bank, represented by the Executive Director Dennis Kakeeto; and UNEDI, represented by Samuel Niiwo.
Through partnerships, Village Power is educating villagers, facilitating access to banking services and providing local households with access to clean, safe, and reliable electricity for the first time.
